Unlocked Galaxy S23 Gets September 2023 Security Update In The US
A couple of weeks ago, Samsung released the September 2023 security update to the Galaxy S23 series in various markets. However, the update was limited to the carrier-locked versions of phones in the Galaxy S23 series in the US. The company has released a new security update to the unlocked variants of Galaxy S23 series phones in the US.
The latest software update for the unlocked Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with firmware versions S911U1UES1AWHD, S916U1UES1AWHD, and S918U1UES1AWHD, respectively.

The South Korean tech is sending the latest September 2023 update with system security improvements to keep your files and data safe on your device. This update further optimizes system stability to provide smooth and uninterrupted functionality on your flagship.
Apart from the Google security patch, Samsung also fixes 35 security flaws in various device parts found in the previous software version. These bugs and issues were found in the Samsung Keyboard app, security settings, Dual Messenger, Samsung Knox AI, storage of Phone and Messages apps, Settings Suggestions, One UI’s Folder Lock feature, Weather app, Wi-Fi Auto Hotspot, inbound SMS handler, and lock screen settings.
How To Update:
If you use a Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, or Galaxy S23 Ultra in the US (and possibly other markets), you’ll need to be able to download and install the update by going to the Settings app on the phone and navigating to Software Update and tap on the required Download and Install.
