OnePlus is currently busy working on its upcoming smartphones as well as the launch of the next version of OxygenOS, OxygenOS 14. Recently, the Chinese tech giant announced the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 Open beta 3 for OnePlus 11 smartphone users in North America and India. According to the report, OxygenOS 14 brings lots of new features and bug fixes alongside the App-Specific Refresh Rate feature.

A few weeks ago, a report claimed that the custom refresh rate option for apps is now available in the OnePlus 11 with ColorOS 14. And we are assuming that the feature may also come with OxygenOS 14.

Now, a random user on a OnePlus community post said that the company has finally added the app-specific refresh rate feature in this build even though it’s not mentioned in the changelog. As per the name of this feature, the app-specific refresh rate feature allows you to manage the refresh rate of a particular app. Yes, you can customize the refresh rate beyond the system provided refresh rate for the apps you want to enjoy and effectively reduce it as per your needs..

Currently, with OxygenOS 13.1, OnePlus devices offer users the option to set their smartphone screen refresh rate to High or Standard via device settings. Apart from this, the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 3 for OnePlus 11 fixes an issue where some third-party paid apps may not function properly and where you may be unable to share photos from an album to the app you select.

However, the App-Specific Refresh Rate feature is already available on the Realme UI 4.0 running devices as well as some flagship Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro devices. With this feature, smartphone users can take full advantage or control of their refresh rate preferences, Plus, you can customize which app you want to enjoy at a 120Hz refresh rate.
