Nothing OS 2.0.4 For Phone (1) Brings Photo Widget And Improvements

Last week, Nothing released the Android 14-based Beta 1 update for its recently launched Nothing Phone (2) smartphone. The new firmware brings Nothing OS version 2.5, which brings a number of improvements and features. Also, the company has confirmed that the Phone (1) users will get this update later this year. Now, the company has started rolling out a new Nothing OS 2.0.4 update for the Nothing Phone (1), which brings photo widgets and improvements.

Nothing OS 2.0.4 update: Features

According to the details revealed by the company, Nothing has updated the Photo widget to Display your favourite photos on your home screen or lock screen more clearly. Additionally, this update also improves the gestures for the app drawer, you can access hidden icons through a swipe to the left of the app drawer to access the hidden icon bin. Now, you can easily move and hide the apps placed here from the app drawer.

On the flip side, Nothing has updated the widgets library interface to make the widgets appear more clearly, with the Nothing OS 2.5.

Nothing OS 2.0.4 update: Improvements and bug fixes

Moving forward, after installing this update, the charging tooltip in the lock screen now more accurately reflects the charging speed. Additionally, this update fixes cloned instances of WhatsApp and fixes a rare issue that caused lock screen widgets to not display properly after a restart.

New features:

• Swipe to the left side of the app drawer to access the hidden icons compartment. Apps placed here will be relocated and hidden from the app drawer.
• Introducing the Photo widget. Display your favorite photos on your home screen or lock screen.

Improvements and bug fixes:

• The charging tooltip in the lock screen now more accurately reflects the charging speed.
• Fixed a rare issue causing lock screen widgets to not be displayed properly after restarting.
• The cloned instance of WhatsApp now properly supports App Locker.
• Improved the stability of Wi-Fi hotspotting.
• General bug fixes.

How To Update:

Nothing Phone 1 users are getting a hotfix update with Nothing OS version 2.0.4 and an installation package of 58.01 MB. Now, Phone (1) users can download this update manually by going to Settings > System > System updates.
