WhatsApp is Bringing Events and Replies To Admin Announcement Feature to WhatsApp Communities

After introducing the Communities section, WhatsApp is looking to infuse some more features to the WhatsApp communities, which is one stop for all the groups and admin announcements. Since the introduction of the WhatsApp Communities, people have taken keen interest, as it significantly allows users to interact with several groups they are the participants of. With that, in order to enhance the functionalities even better, WhatsApp has just announced that Communities will get new features, including creating and organizing events and replies to Admin Announcements. 

Admin Announcement Feature to WhatsApp Communities

According to the information shared on the official blog, WhatsApp is bringing new functionalities for the WhatsApp Communities, which will significantly allow users to easily create and organize events on WhatsApp on one hand, while the new feature will also offer users the capability to reply to the Admin announcements made within the groups as well.

Create Events and let everyone know What’s the event is about:  

With the Events feature, WhatsApp is making it easier for the users to plan and create Events directly within the WhatsApp Communities. Meanwhile, anyone can create Events and let the whole group know about it, while the participants of the group will receive a notification automatically when the Event date is approaching. However, the Events feature is currently arriving for the Groups that come under the Communities first, while the feature will begin rolling out to all the groups on WhatsApp gradually over the coming months.

Now reply to the Admin Announcements Within the Community groups:

Another promising feature, which is arriving to the WhatsApp Communities is Replies to the Admin Announcements, where the Community participants will be able to give reply to the Admin announcements within the Community Announcement Groups. Moreover, the replies to the Admin announcements within the groups will be bunched together and minimized so that others can view the information that others said in the context to a specific topic, while notification for the replies is muted for everyone. 

Moreover, WhatsApp is currently rolling out the new Events and Replies to Admin Announcement feature to the WhatsApp Communities, while it will get available for all the groups over the next coming months.
