The Indian smartphone market has seen an 8% growth in shipments in the first quarter, according to counterpoint reports. According to this, Vivo has become India’s best-selling phone with a 19% market share.

On the other hand, Xiaomi has also become India’s second best-selling phone maker with an 18.8% market share, while Samsung has secured the third position. These brands have also launched affordable, mid-range, and top-end flagships. For Samsung, its S24 Ultra has gained the most popularity.
However, Oppo and Realme have secured their fourth and fifth positions. Oppo has seen a slight decline in sales. Realme has maintained its dominance by developing its devices with new designs and better cameras. This year, Realme introduced the Realme 12 Pro+ with a Periscope lens at a price of less than Rs.30,000, which also gained a lot of popularity, with 18% growth.
Motorola, Nothing, Infinix, and Tecno have seen significant growth this year, with Nothing becoming the fastest-growing brand with 144% in India. Under its G-series, Motorola has helped the company grow by 54%. Infinix and Tecno have also achieved good growth this year by bringing their flagships under Rs.10,000. It is expected that it will increase year after year.
