Google Pixel 8a Outperforms Galaxy S24 on DXOMARK Camera Rankings

Google has recently introduced its most-awaited smartphone, the Google Pixel 8a, within the mid-range category in the Indian market. It has some amazing features and specifications, including its amazing design, powered by Google’s new Tensor G3 chipset, and more. Meanwhile, the latest Google Pixel 8a has kept on the DXOMARK camera rankings, and it significantly outperforms the flagship Galaxy S24 model. 

Pixel 8a Camera Test Rating On DXOMARK

The Google Pixel 8a has been kept under the DXOMARK camera rankings to test its camera system. In the testing, the phone just surpasses Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S24 but fails to go beyond Google’s premium Pixel 8 and Apple’s iPhone 15 models, respectively.

In the DXOMARK camera testing, it was noticed that the Google Pixel 8a achieved a camera score of 136, easily outperforming the Samsung Galaxy S24 but failing to leave the high-end Pixel 8 and iPhone 15 behind. The Pixel 8a impressed for its great auto-exposure abilities, high-end shots, and detailed capturing that significantly produces pleasant rendering of colors through balanced white contrast while recording videos. 

Meanwhile, some other positives through the camera testing of the Pixel 8a include the video stabilization being perfect and much more accurate, along with the autofocus mode having some nice stability, allowing users to capture some perfect yet interactive shots with accurate details.

However, even though the Pixel 8a excellently performed within several aspects stated above, still this newest phone failed in some photography factors, including the lack of a telephoto camera, skin tone rendering, extra noise while shooting videos, frameshifting, color fringing, and other stuttering in videos. Meanwhile, the PIxel 8a is ranked 2nd among other high-end smartphones, achieving 33rd in the global camera rankings.

Moreover, the Google Pixel 8a could be considered an excellent choice for those who are in search of a phone that can perform great in the photography field and is a budget-friendly option. Also, it’s important to note that plenty of smartphones placed within the camera rankings are almost twice as expensive as the Pixel 8a.
