WhatsApp is working on a feature to hide community group chats

WhatsApp made many changes in its app in the past. Now, According to the Wabetainfo WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program to bring your version up to 2.24.11.7. WhatsApp will widely bring a feature to hide community group chats in this new update. 

WhatsApp Hidden community group chats feature

The company also announced earlier that WhatsApp is working on a feature to hide community group chats. This Feature aims to increase the privacy of secret group chats for community administrators and thereby keep them always hidden from the community group list. 

However, this new feature is still in development, and WhatsApp is making efforts to improve it further, including allowing users to mark community group chats as hidden. The feature is available for the Android 2.24.11.7 update via the Google Play Store. 

This update will be released soon. Most importantly, to protect privacy, community owners will not be able to change this visibility setting once the group is hidden. Additionally, any other community administration can only find and remove the group from the community list and can only view the content with the group invite link. 

Hopefully, you will have more control over the privacy of your group chats within communities in the future. We want to preserve the privacy of group members by preventing owners from changing visibility settings after the group is hidden. 

Everyone believes that any material archive is confidential only when it is hidden. Thus, the company is developing a feature to hide community group chats, which will be available to everyone as a future update of the app.
