With the rapidly growing needs and requirements, technology has also become advanced, while these technologies have been infused within smartphones to offer much more advanced and valuable experiences. Owing to this, IP technology is currently a global trend, while several Android partners are introducing their devices with IP ratings, thus offering the capability to withstand solid and liquid components. Meanwhile, the Honor 200 Pro is the Honor’s latest smartphone, which will arrive soon with some fantastic features, but is the new Honor 200 Pro waterproof?

IP Rating, Water Resistance Explained

Check whether the device can withhold dust and water components. The IP or the Ingress Protection rating is the industrial trademark provided to a smartphone when tested against two kinds of ingress, solid and liquid, respectively. The IP rating carries two digits; the first digit is for solid ingress, which could be fine dust or sand particles, while the second digit is for the liquid components, water.

Meanwhile, the first digit ranges from 0-6, while the second digit could reach a maximum from 0-8, respectively. The better the IP rating, the greater the protection. As far as the IP rating of the newest Honor 200 Pro is concerned, the phone has been offered an IP55 rating, which makes it dust and water-resistant, here’s the entire explanation.

Honor 200 Pro Waterproof And Dust Rating

The IP55 rating of Honor 200 Pro has 5 as its first digit, which is for protection against fine dust or sand particles and is less than 6, thus making it capable of handling dust particles but only to some extent. On the flip side, the second digit in the IP rating is 5, which denotes protection against water, but it can only protect devices from some water splashing over them. It cannot protect against water immersion. Hence, the newest Honor 200 Pro is dust and water-resistant.
