Honor Confirms the Launch Date of New Phone Using the Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor
Leading smartphone maker Honor has officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship devices will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest high-performance chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The announcement has created a stir in the tech community, as it promises to deliver enhanced mobile performance, advanced AI capabilities, and a better user experience.
Honor Magic 7 With Snapdragon 8 Elite Launch Date
With this chipset, Honor is expected to overtake Xiaomi and OnePlus. According to a rumor, these devices will also use the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. In an official confirmation, Honor has revealed that the Magic 7 series can be launched after October 28. According to Gizbot Mobile, the series will be launched in China on October 30.
Honor Magic 7 Specification and Feature
On the other hand, Honor has confirmed through a Weibo post that the company will hold two separate events this month. The first event will be held on October 23. At this event, the brand will unveil Magic OS 9.0, a firm operating system based on Android 15. However, the teaser poster hints at the addition of AI with Magic OS 9.0, using the tagline “Discover the Magic of AI.”
The second event, which may be held on October 30, has confirmed the launch of the Magic 7 series. Both can be held at the event, while Qualcomm’s official unveiling of the Snapdragon 8 Elite is scheduled for October 21. Based on these dates, it can be said that the Honor Magic 7 coming with this upcoming chip can be launched on October 28.
Moreover, the Honor Magic 7 series may include two models, the Magic 7 and the Magic 7 Pro models. Both these devices will have a triple rear camera setup at the back, with the main sensor being a 50 MP Omnivixion OV50H, a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera Sony IMX882, and a 50 MP or 200 MP Samsung HP3.
Both models may use OLED displays. The Pro model will likely have a higher resolution 2K display, while the vanilla model may have a 1.5K resolution. Both phones may have IP68/69 water resistance and will likely have ultrasonic fingerprints for security. According to a leak, the Magic 7 Pro model also supports satellite connectivity.
