OnePlus 11R New Update Brings Plenty of Features and Improvements  

The OnePlus 11R launched with Android 13 out of the box, and OnePlus has been committed to providing the best possible experience to the OnePlus 11R audience through software updates. Meanwhile, OnePlus has announced that it is rolling out a new update to the OnePlus 11R, which brings plenty of features and enhancements that will significantly improve the overall experience.


OnePlus 11R is receiving a new update in India

OnePlus is rolling out a new upgrade to the Indian units of the OnePlus 11R, and the brand is expected to roll out this new update to the other eligible regions over the next few days. This new update to the OnePlus 11R significantly lands as an OxygenOS 14.0.0.800 update and carries an official build version—IN: CPH2487_14.0.0.800(EX01). 

Here’s what’s new in this update

Meanwhile, some new features and enhancements are included with this update. Animations will now be smoother and add a wallpaper zoom for a smooth visual experience, add a bounce animation effect while sliding to the bottom of the notification drawer while also bringing specific optimizations, including the transition animations for the home screen icons and widgets, optimizes background colors as well as the Gaussian blur effects in Quick Settings, Notification drawer, Home screen drawer, and Global Search. 

The update also introduces a new touch control experience that adds transition animations for a much more enhanced and smoother animation experience. This update further improves touch control responsiveness, making tapping and swiping on the Home screen and recent tasks screen faster and more stable. 

Moreover, this new update to the OnePlus 11R further introduces a new horizontal layout for the lock screen clock, adjusts the Volume in Quick Settings, the ability to unlock the device using a fingerprint without walking up the screen, adds a Partial screenshot option in the Smart Sidebar, a new app-specific volume feature can be used to adjust Volume of individual apps, and most prominently,  this new update integrates the latest May 2024 Android security update that significantly enhances the overall system security while also optimizing the performance for more secure, stable and optimized software experience.   • Adds wallpaper zoom and seamless icon transitions during app launch and exit for a smoother visual experience.
  • Adds a bounce animation effect when sliding to the bottom of the notification drawer and optimizes the layer effects of Quick Setting icons and widgets, bringing a more natural and delicate visual effect.
  • Optimizes the transition animations for Home screen icons and widgets and adds wallpaper zoom animations upon device unlock.

  • Adds a transition animation when swiping in from one side of the screen to exit an app before it starts up.
  • It adds a transition animation when swiping in from one side of the screen to return to the previous page before a new page is opened.
  • Adds a transition animation when swiping inward from a side of the screen or swiping up to exit an app in landscape mode.
  • You can now tap the lower right corner of a large folder to view more apps.
  • You can now pull down app icons in large folders and then open an app in just one move.
  • Improves touch control responsiveness. Tapping and swiping on the Home and Recent tasks screens is now faster and more stable.
  • It increases touch responsiveness for app usage scenarios, such as opening and closing apps, entering and exiting recent tasks, or swiping on the gesture guide bar to switch between apps.
  • Optimizes animations when using large folders. Dragging apps on the Home screen is now smoother.

System

  • Adds a horizontal layout for the Lock screen clock.
  • You can now adjust the Volume in Quick Settings.
  • You can now choose not to show the track when drawing the Lock screen pattern to unlock your device.
  • You can now use fingerprint unlock without waking up the screen.
  • You can now create photo collages without frames in Photos.
  • Adds a “Partial screenshot” option in the Smart Sidebar.
  • You can now press and hold the Volume Down button to turn the flashlight on when the screen is off.
  • You can now try out the “app-specific volume” feature to adjust the Volume for individual apps based on your needs.
  • You can now adjust the size of a floating window by dragging its bottom and swipe up to close a mini window.
  • Improves the volume bar’s design for ease of use and visual consistency.
  • Integrates the May 2024 Android security patch to enhance system security.

On the flip side, OnePlus has started rolling out the new update to the OnePlus 11R through the OTA update. This update will first be rolled out to a random percentage of users and then reach all the OnePlus 11R customers over the next few days.
