Android 15 Reaches Major Milestone with Platform Stability in Beta 3

Now that Google is on the full swing and has released plenty of feature upgrades and enhancements for its next iteration of Android operating system, the Android 15 is now on the verge to hit the platform stability, as Google rushes to release a new beta version, the Android 15 Beta 3 for its Pixel smartphones. As Google’s latest Android 15 is now entering the final OS development channel, the company has introduced the third beta of Android 15 with plenty of developer APIs and all app-facing behaviours are now final to review.
With the release of the Android 15 Beta 3 build, the Android 15 significantly hits the platform stability. Hitting the platform stability milestone means that now certain app developers will now be able to review and integrate their apps, while the apps that target Android 15 could now be made available on the Google Play Store. Though the OS has significantly reached its platform stability channel, there will still be bugs, with Google fixing all of them continuously, Android 15 will now be stable enough for regular use.
Improved Passkeys and Credential Manager:
Meanwhile, the new Android 15 Beta 3 introduces a new and improved experience for Passkeys, which means now users will be able to sign-in into the apps targeting Android 15 using their passkeys in just a single step through the biometrics methods, including face recognition, fingerprint, or the screen lock. In case the passkey sign-in prompt is accidentally dismissed, then the passkeys and other Credential Manager will be suggested in the keyboard suggestions or dropdown menus.
WebSQL slammed in Android WebView:
WebSQL is now frowned on in Android WebView, which has already been removed from Chrome and will no longer be functional on all the Android versions within 12 months. Meanwhile, the World Wide Web Consortium(W3C) significantly encourages apps to adopt Web Storage API technologies such as IndexedDB.

Other miscellaneous features of Android 15 Beta 3 include, when the app is forcefully closed, it will now keep stopped until the user relaunches the app, there will now be support for 16KB page sizes that means that with Android 15 devices will now support a maximum memory page size of up to 16KB, a Private Space feature has also been added with Android 15 that will let users to significantly create a separate space to keep few sensitive apps away from some prying eyes, and finally with the Android 15, the System animations such as back, cross task and the cross activity will now appear for those apps who have opted into the Predictive back gesture.

Moreover, Google has announced that the latest Android 15 Beta 3 is now pushing to all the supported Pixel smartphones, which enrolled in the beta program, with the list including the Pixel 6 and newer models. The company further stated that it might take somewhat 24 hours to reach your eligible Pixel, while to check for it, simply go to the Settings >> System >> Software update >> System update >> Check for updates.
