To make the search even better and more accessible, here are the 5 new updates that arrived within Google Chrome:
- New Chrome Actions
Now live in Chrome, Google has added a new Chrome Actions that will significantly help users save time when trying to search for local places near them. It will quickly provide several relevant options regarding that place, including calls, directions, and reviews. In addition, this feature is currently live in Chrome on Android devices and will make its way to iOS later this fall.
- Tablets get a redesigned address bar
To significantly match Google’s Material You design language, Google has refreshed Chrome’s address bar on iPads and Android tablets to take full advantage of their larger screens. Now, while using the Chrome address bar, you will always find the website below the drop-down menu in case you decide to head back to the website.
- New shortcut suggestions
The new shortcut suggestions feature in Chrome for Android and iOS significantly allows users to automatically get suggestions higher up in their search based on the shortcut they have entered in the search bar. This will certainly help users have a more personalized experience.
- Trending searches in Chrome on iOS
Already available on Android, Google is bringing the trending searches feature to Chrome on iOS as well. This will offer users the trendiest search suggestions on the Chrome address bar on iOS. These trending search suggestions will appear below the search bar.
- New Sports card added in Chrome’s Discover Feed
New live sports cards are now available in Chrome’s Discover feed on Android and iOS devices, allowing you to get all the live updates about the match of any sport based on factors like whether you have followed a team or have expressed interest in watching in the past.
