Google is working on new weather widgets

The Google app is working on a new weather home screen widget, as confirmed by decompiling the latest version of the app uploaded to the Play Store. This shows that the widget could have completely changed. This change is currently seen first in Pixel devices and will be available in all Android devices in the coming time.
According to the APK Insight post, “the latest version of the app uploaded by Google to the Play Store has been decompiled. When these files are decompiled, various lines of code appear that hint at future features.
It is worth noting that Google does not fully explain these features. Moreover, it is always advisable to know about these features so that all users know the new features coming.”
This upcoming design is very similar to what is available in devices today, and both have many similarities. It is in the top left corner, along with the city temperature, which is high/low. However, the condition icon and status are located on the right.

There is also a refresh rate button in the corner, which can greatly improve the quality of life. This gives you a six-hour forecast instead of four.
However, this new feature adds another widget at the bottom, which only adds a three-day forecast. At the end of this is a portrait widget that includes the city and high/low so you can also see the light and dark theme versions. All these features are included in the latest Google app beta version 15.28, which has not been rolled out yet.
This feature is expected to be introduced in future versions of Android 15 through the “Pixel Weather” section. This “Pixel Weather” also has a background service that powers the Google Clock app integration. It may take a long time for this new feature to be rolled out in devices.
