YouTube Brings Major Update To YouTube Shorts, Increased Timing, More Customizable Options and Many More
YouTube Shorts is now being developed to allow longer content. Its use so far on YouTube Shots, which originally had a limit of 60 seconds, is now being expanded to allow up to three minutes. This will not harm the user’s old videos.
YouTube Shorts Upgrades Many Features
The decision to increase the length of YouTube Shorts videos has been taken keeping in mind the goal of creating a more flexible platform for YouTube creators. In this, the 60-second limit seemed too short to the content creators. Users need more time to promote detailed information.
However, this new feature was initially launched with a limit of 15 seconds, then its limit was increased to 30 seconds and then to 60 seconds. However, now users can increase the length of their video to three minutes, and it will also be able to impact content creation and user engagement.
This feature will be implemented from October 15, in which creators can create shorts for up to 3 minutes. Also, this change will not affect any video uploaded before October 15. YouTube is also working on improving suggestions for longer shorts in the coming months.
In addition, creators will also get new Shorts templates that they can use to create a remix by tapping Remix on a Short or using the new template. In the coming time, users will also be able to remix clips from their favorite YouTube videos. If you don’t like shorts, you will also be able to choose to show them less on YouTube.
