ColorOS 15 hints One UI 7

Oppo has talked about the countless benefits of its upcoming ColorOS 15 but has also addressed the shortcomings in Samsung’s One UI. With this ColorOS 15, Oppo brings a better experience, performance, optimization, and advanced AI features to its users that differentiate it from competitors, including Samsung.

The brand has unveiled this other skin at the launch event of the latest flagship device, which also claims to have better smoothness and performance. Apart from this, the company has also compared it with Samsung’s One UI, which clearly shows that ColorOS has other great features that are not seen in One UI.

Oppo has confirmed at the event that the upcoming ColorOS 15 will also see the new “Luminous Rendering Engine,” which will speed up the response of the interface to a great extent. This new engine improves touch response speed by 18% and improves stability by 40%. All these new improvements also ensure seamless multitasking and better stability.

Demonstrating the feature on stage, Oppo explained how ColorOS 15 maintained fluidity while quickly opening, closing, and switching apps, comparing it to a competitor’s interface that appeared faltering. Although not named directly, the obvious target of this comparison was Samsung’s One UI.

It also includes a visual overhaul that sees changes to the refresh rate, icons, and widgets. The new skin also features a refreshed aesthetic using new natural tones. It also features a new Flux theme customization that incorporates new layouts as well as the always on display, lock screen, and home screen.

This confirms that Oppo is working to provide a more engaging experience with these interactions. Although Oppo did not intend to take a dig at its competitor, the brand has taken a dig at Samsung over some features. It seems that the brand has taken inspiration from Samsung and made fun of its biggest rival.

Earlier, Samsung had attacked Apple’s features while praising some of its Galaxy AI features. However, Oppo also has some of these AI features. ColorOS 15 also includes the AI Writer tool, message reply, summary, enhanced notes, etc. All these AI features underline Oppo’s features in a smarter and more intuitive way.

The Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro could be the first devices to launch with ColorOS 15. Finally, Oppo has also compared the hardware of its new device with the Galaxy S24 Ultra here. Both these new Oppo phones have 80W wired charging and 50W magnetic wireless charging support, which makes this device better than the older models.

Additionally, the addition of magnet charging support makes Oppo’s flagship device unique and stands out from other Android devices. However, all these features will be known only after the official launch of the device.
