A while ago, Google announced that all the AI photo editing tools, along with the Magic Editor of Google Photos, will now be available free for all Google Photos users on both Android and iOS owners. Meanwhile, the company is now making these AI-powered photo editing tools available to a wider Pixel audience. However, all the AI photo editing tools of Google Photos were initially reserved for the flagship Pixel 8 lineup customers and those who are paid Google One subscribers

Reports reveal that Google is expanding the Magic Editor and other AI editing tools to more Pixel audience:

Google stated that the AI editing tools of Google Photos, including the Magic Editor and others, will be free for all the Photos app users beginning from 15th May. Meanwhile, some evidence recently started flashing over the internet that significantly suggests that Google is expanding the Photos’ Magic Editor and other AI editing tools free for more Pixel audiences.

Magic Editor is spotted on Pixel 7 and 6 series phones:

According to the latest report, several Pixel 7 and Pixel 6 series owners have already started seeing the Magic Editor feature within their Photos app without requiring a Google One subscription. In contrast, besides Magic Editor, Google will also begin rolling out other AI photo editing tools to all Google Photos users for free, including the Magic Eraser, Portrait Light, Color Pop, Photo Unblur, HDR Effect, Sky suggestions, Cinematic Photos, Video Effects, and Portrait blur, respectively.

Moreover, the Magic Editor tool of Google Photos is an incredible editing option that significantly allows users to move, erase subjects or objects, or resize their photos while applying creative and intuitive presets.

However, this magical photo editing tool comes with a red flag- as the non-pixel owners are bound to use their 10 free saves of Magic Editor per month except, they are premium Google One subscribers (plan 2TB and higher). In contrast, Pixel owners are not bound by any limitations and can enjoy unlimited Magic Editor usage.
