Google Announced The Business Messages within Google Search and Maps is going to Halt Permanently

Google is currently focusing on refreshing its services by shutting down several capabilities and functionalities that will no longer be available to users. In a similar series, Google recently announced that the Business Messages within Google Search and Maps will shut down in July. 

For several years, the Business Messages served Google Search and Maps customers, allowing them to comfortably reach out to other stores, cafes, and restaurants through text-based conversations. This feature allowed customers to converse with the business and send or receive images while supporting the read-receipt feature. 

The Business Messages feature within Google Search and Maps is going to halt on July 31st

Meanwhile, Google has decided to halt this Business Message capability in July permanently. Google announced via its official folks that the Business Messages feature within Google Search and Maps will be permanently halted on July 31st, 2024.

Considering this, from July 15th, 2024, customers on Google Search and Maps will not be able to start any new chat conversations with their Business from Google, while the existing chats will be notified about this recent removal. 

On the flip side, on July 31st, 2024, Google will permanently halt or remove the Business Message profile from Google Search and Maps, which means customers will not receive any new messages. However, customers can easily find and contact their business via Google Search and Maps.
