Samsung Galaxy S21 FE gets its first software update with January 2022 security patch in the US

After being released in the CES 2022, the latest Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is all set to get its first software update in United States. Earlier, it was a few Asian markets who got the January 2022 security but now it is also available for the unlocked variants in the US.

Almost all the carrier networks like AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, C-Spire, Tracfone, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile are availing the latest January 2022 security patch for Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Models. For United States, the latest software update comes with a firmware version G990U1UEU2BUL8. This latest update fixes a handful of previous bugs and breaches.

Some of the bugs that Samsung fixes in this update include unprotected dynamic receiver in SecSettings, Improper sanitization of incoming intent in Dressroom, improper check or handling of exceptional conditions in NPU driver, improper authorization in TelephonyManager, incorrect implementation of Knox Guard, etc.
