Samsung One UI 5.0 Beta Program Expected Release Date & Features

Samsung plans to start the beta testing phase for the OneUI 5.0 in August or September 2022. Last year, the Beta testing of the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 began in September, while the official rollout happened in mid-November 2021.

The flagship models will be the first to try the UI 5.0’s beta. As a new-generation operating system, the biggest upgrade of Android 13 is that it is optimized for large-screen devices such as folding screens and tablets.

The company is also updating the One UI 4.1.1 for its new flagship foldable smartphones, which will likely exist exclusively for a few chosen devices. One UI 4.1.1 will come to the market first.

One UI 5.0 will introduce Android 13 to Samsung phones with the rumored new features Google will bring to the latest version that Samsung can opt to include on its phone. These include a universal photo picker UI for sharing photos to an app, using customer tiles for Quick Settings, and new notification permissions.
