Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Bags October 2022 Security Update In Brazil

Last week, Samsung rolled out the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta 3 update for Galaxy S21 Series smartphone users in the UK and South Korea. The 3rd beta of One UI 5.0 comes with some new features and a bunch of fixes that arrive during the beta testing. Meanwhile, the company has started rolling out the October 2022 Android security update for Galaxy S21, S21+ 5G, and Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone users in Brazil.

Furthermore, the October 2022 security update for Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ 5G, and Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G hold firmware version numbers G991BXXU5CVI6G996BXXU5CVI6, G998BXXU5CVI6, respectively. As always, this update comes with improvements in system security and stability to enhance the device’s performance. In addition to this, it fixes some bugs and issues that impact the user’s experience. Apart from this, the official changelog doesn’t contain any other noticeable changes or other additional features. 

Moreover, the Security Maintenance Release (SMR) package includes one critical, 29 high, and two moderate-level CVEs from Google and Samsung. Plus, the company also disclosed that 11 CVEs are not for Galaxy devices, and 8 CVEs were already added in the previous update.
