In the latest version, the firm announced a new and important message-editing feature on WhatsApp. As of now, you can fix an error or edit a message, even if you’ve already sent it. Here is the official Twitter post about this addition:

“You now get up to 15 minutes after sending a message to edit it. So you don’t have to worry if you duck it up.”

All you need to do is long-press the message and tap on the edit option to change the text. However, these messages will show an ‘Edited’ label with a timestamp to highlight the change.

WhatsApp has started rolling out this new feature on Android, and some users got a chance to try out the feature today itself. However, if you haven’t done so, don’t worry, as the rollout will gradually widen among consumers.
