Gboard New “Proofread” Generative AI Feature Fix Grammar Mistake
Google has been paying much attention to AI generative tools for several months and continuously tries to improve it. As per the new reports, the brand has rolled out its latest beta update for Gboard, which provides the facility of fixing grammar mistakes of the users.
The latest beta update has arrived with version number v13.4, for the update is in its developing stage and only available for some of the lucky beta testers. The latest update brings a new feature named “Proofread .”The news stated that this option was reportedly spotted on the outlet’s Pixel Fold, which takes place in Gboard’s toolbar as a “Fix it” prompt.
Clicking on “Proofread” within the toolbar of Gboard helps to process the user’s text and provides suggestions to fix spelling or grammar, such as adding punctuation or articles. The “Fix it” switch will come into view in line with suggestions and automatically fix mistakes when the users tap it.
This facility is well-known for the users who used to use Grammarly. If truth be told, it is a great revolution to existing autocorrect. However, it would be good if the brand on its servers could pull this off without offloading the processing. In the future, updates. Based on the previous news, it was reported about a new feature that creates stickers using AI on Gboard and a new “tone” feature, which can help users reword a message with a different tone, for instance, formal and informal. However, those features do not yet appear without the application modifications.
For now, the “Proofread” generative AI feature is in the beta stage and only available for beta testers. But it is expected that soon the brand will make it available to all.
