Upcoming YouTube Feature To Improve Viewing Experience On Vertical Live Streams

The YouTube teams constantly test new tools and features to help you find, watch, share, and create content more easily. In a recent development, YouTube is testing a unique full-screen viewing experience for mobile viewers on vertical live streams. The latest YouTube’s new vertical live feed features are currently in “beta” or “experiment” and are available for a short time and only to a small group.

YouTube’s new vertical live feed features include scrollable live stream feeds and easily accessible fan funding features. With this upcoming feature, creators can stream verticals to mobile devices either with the YouTube app or through desktop streaming software, and their vertical streams will be visible to eligible viewers browsing Shorts on the YouTube app during this experiment. 

The goal is to experiment with this new vertical live feed, with YouTube planning to test more improvements to the sheer live streaming experience soon.

Conversely, the US tech giant is also busy testing a new gaming initiative inside YouTube with “Playables.” This feature allows players to play games directly on desktop and mobile devices on YouTube. This feature lets you view and control your Playables history and saved game progress in YouTube History. Last month, the US tech giant also tested new features and tools on YouTube,
