Samsung Video Library App Will Not Be Compatible With Android 14, Update Support Will End
Samsung is a big step towards bringing One UI 6.0 to the masses. In case you need a reminder, the company is actually testing Android 14-based One UI 6.0 on select devices in various markets. Meanwhile, with this software update, the company is downgrading or ending the software update status for some of its Galaxy apps, including the Samsung Video Library app.
According to the information, Samsung has issued a notice announcing that it has confirmed the end of the Video Library app update and will stop compatibility support for the Samsung Video Library app update with the new OS. This means that the latest update of the Samsung Video Library app will not be available for download after installing the Android 14 version.
With Android 14, Samsung ends Video Library App update support:
According to the notice, the Samsung Video Library app update and compatibility support will be discontinued on January 1, 2024. Therefore, new features and services supported through app updates and compatibility will not be provided on Android 14 OS. However, after the closure date, you can continue to use the app in OS versions from Android 6 to Android 13 or the supported models.
Notice Statement:
“The app update and compatibility support will be discontinued on January 1 2024. However, after the discontinuation date, you can continue to use the app you have been using in the OS versions or supported models listed below.”

Why is Samsung stopping updating the Video Library app: Reasons
Samsung shared the reason behind shutting down Samsung Video Library: it became difficult to continue the service due to low usage and activation rates and difficulty in differentiating Samsung Video Library from other apps.
