WhatsApp recently announced changes for its Web and Android apps that included a dark mode color scheme and photos, videos, and text on status directly from the web client. Now, a new update has been released by WhatsApp; in this update, WhatsApp is rolling out a caption that marks chats as end-to-end encrypted with version number 24.1.10.73 in iOS.

Accordingly, the version has been marked 2.24.1.73 within WhatsApp settings and will be available on Test Flight build 24.1.10 (554476540).

Looking dapper, we can say that WhatsApp is releasing a caption that can mark chats as end-to-encrypted, as a compatible update to WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.1.10.73. Marked, but some users may be able to experiment with the same feature by installing the previous iOS 24.1.10.72. Build, and for the new update, we are also bringing a new sticker editor feature.

As part of this update, WhatsApp beta announced that WhatsApp is rolling out a new footer for end-to-end encryption. In this regard, the security of the app has also been highlighted, giving users excellent insight into the privacy and confidentiality of their messages, calls, and status updates. However, it appears that WhatsApp is working on introducing separate chat captions.

Specifically, in the latest WhatsApp beta update, which is also present on the TestFlight app, we found that the chat captions are displayed within the navigation bar and also marked as end-to-end encrypted.

Chats are end-to-end encrypted, helping users understand the security status of their ongoing chats and providing instant visual confirmation that the messages are safe from any unauthorized access or interception.

According to WhatsApp, the encrypted status is taking a proactive approach to make it easier for users to understand that the content of their conversations is always private, educate them about the strong measures employed by WhatsApp, and provide them with additional information. For this, we recommend redirecting to the security page on the official WhatsApp website.

This end-to-end encrypted feature is currently available to some beta testers who install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app and will be rolling out to everyone in the coming days.
