Google is making things a lot easier by introducing several useful yet convenient features for its services. Meanwhile, switching among other devices while on a call will be easier and more convenient, eliminating the need to leave the ongoing call. Google is rolling out a new option, Switch Here, for its video calling app, Google Meet, which will now allow users to easily switch among other devices while on the Meet call.
The new Switch Here option on Google Meet is now live
At times, while on a Meet call or a virtual work meeting, there are certain situations where people need to change their current device, end the ongoing call from one device, and then rejoin on a different device. Hence, to eliminate the inconvenience of missing important information during a Meet call, Google Meet introduces a new Switch Here option, allowing users to smoothly transfer among their devices during an ongoing Google Meet call without hanging up or rejoining.
Users will now notice a new Switch Here option while joining a meeting on their laptop; tapping on it will allow them to seamlessly switch their ongoing call from their laptop to their smartphone while also maintaining their ongoing conversations without getting tensed on losing any important information.
Moreover, Google has already begun rolling out the new Switch Here option on Google Meet to all Google Workspace customers and users with their personal Google accounts. While the rollout of the new feature is gradual, it will take a few minutes to reach all users.
