For a few years, Google has been experimenting with the ability to download multiple applications simultaneously on the Google Play Store. Now, it seems that the company has been rolling out this ability widely to all Android users, offering users a more enhanced and convenient experience.

Android users will now be able to download two applications simultaneously from the Google Play Store

With Android devices running Android 14 and Google Play Store version 40.6.31, several users are already receiving this new simultaneous app download capability. Android users can now download and install multiple apps simultaneously on the Google Play Store.

However, this new upgrade on the Google Play Store will only allow users to download two applications at once. The third one will show a “Pending” status and will be downloaded when the first two apps finish downloading. As this capability is currently rolling out widely, you can easily check it by downloading two apps simultaneously.

With this new upgrade on the Google Play Store, users will notice the concurrent downloads of the applications, eliminating the need to wait for the first one to complete its downloading and installing process. In comparison, on iOS, the App Store can download three applications simultaneously. It’s important to note that the latest capability of the Simultaneous app downloads on the Google Play Store is only for the new app downloads and not for the application updates.
