Many features have been added to Google Messages through updates this year. This time, a new line update has been redesigned for compose/text fields in massages. Earlier, the audio recorder redesign and selfie GIF were also released in the Massage app. This new feature will have more differences than before.
Single line Google Message text fields
Google launched this design earlier for testing purposes. When you open a text or RCS message field, it will give you shortcuts to Google messages, emojis, magic compose, a gallery, and more/Plus. You will get all these things in the first line, while in the second line, you will have the alphabet to type.
However, some users did not like this design. Everything remained unchanged in the default state before you interacted. When you start typing, the gallery and magic compose disappear, leaving only the emoji and Plus for use when needed. More attention should be paid to visual stability and animation.
Additionally, if you want to use the Plus and emoji buttons, you can easily touch them even while typing. You can also use them by scrolling. However, the company has not yet made this single-line text field widely available in Google massages; it is currently available only on beta version 20240506_04_RC00.
Google Updates
Before this, Google Massages will roll out “Selfie GIFs” to Pixel devices. In this, users will be able to create GIFs from animated GIFs through a selfie camera. On the other hand, Google has launched a new app, Google Wallet, in India. The function of this wallet is to make payments and all kinds of transactions easier for the users. It will be only available for Android users soon.
