Xiaomi added many smartphones to the End of Life (EoL) list
Xiaomi recently released the EoL list, in which software updates have been disconnected for many smartphones of Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices. The brand has also shown the global level of unavailability of the device. Due to the lack of updates, many kinds of problems can also arise in the device.
Xiaomi End Of Life Devices List
However, all companies have made announcements like Xiaomi has. Smartphone manufacturers provide software updates for a limited number of years, and after the end of these years, the device is declared unsupported by this list. Lack of software support for these devices can lead to security and privacy issues and other problems. Separate from this, the list of these devices is given below –
- Xiaomi Mi 10S (CN)
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (EEA, Global, CN)
- Xiaomi Mi 10 (TR, ID, EEA, IN, EN, Global, CN)
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (CN)
- Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G (JP)
- Redmi Note 10 Pro (ID, EEA, Global)
- Redmi Note 10 (TR)
- Redmi Note 10 5G (TW, TR)
- Redmi Note 10T (EN)
- Redmi Note 8 (2021) (EEA, N)
- Poco M3 Pro 5G (N, TR)
These devices listed in the EoL list released by Xiaomi will not be able to get any new features, and some of these devices have received only two software updates. On the other hand, Samsung and Google will give a long support of 7 years on their devices. Along with this, OnePlus has recently announced that the Nord 4 will get six years of security patches and four major Android updates to some of its devices.
These updates promise to bring development, system improvements, fixes and security patches to the phone. These updates also enhance the functionality over time. Unfortunately, most of the smartphones in the market were also to give an average of three years of support to their devices, but now this ideology will change.
