Google is set to introduce new features “Call Casting And Internet Sharing” for its devices . The brand announced these features in late May, and they can soon be seen on Android devices with Version 24.28.34. These features are currently available as a beta for Android 11+ phones and tablets.

To use it on a device, you first have to go to settings, then Devices and Sharing, followed by Cross-device services. After this set-up process, you can also set up your “device group” by enabling these preferences on your signed-in devices.

Call casting can be used to make calls between nearby devices signed in to a Google account, and it is only available for certain apps. Additionally, beta about your device may be shared with those apps when you switch devices. Once the device is turned on, your other devices can cast video calls to your device.

Internet sharing and instant hotspots require you to work with a Chromebook and Android device signed in to a Google account. Bluetooth and device location must be turned on to share the internet. According to Google, “Internet sharing is not available on Samsung devices. If you have a Samsung device, you can use the Auto hotspot feature instead”.

Additionally, a toggle allows you to turn each feature on/off while Google displays your device groups on the main cross-device service page. So, you can estimate the features at your convenience. At this time, all these features are unavailable in the testing phase.
