Motorola Edge 50 launched in India with a mid-range price and better specifications
The brand has revealed the price and specifications in India of Motorola Edge 50. The company is set to launch this series on August 1 after the Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion, and Edge 50 Ultra. This is the first Edge series phone with the military-grade certification “MIL-STD 810H,” and the device may also have many other specifications.

The Edge 50 will be available in single 8GB/256 GB storage variants and will be priced at Rs. 27,999. The smartphone is 7.79 mm thick and weighs 181 grams. It will feature a 6.67-inch pOLED 1.5K curved display with 1900 nits peak brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate. This screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 50 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, which also features RAM Boost and a vapour chamber cooling system. The Motorola Edge 50 packs a 5000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging, 15W wireless, and 5W reserve wireless support. It runs Android 14 with Hello UI, which Motorola has promised to deliver two years of software updates and three years of security patches.
The Motorola Edge 50 houses a 50 MP Sony Litea 700C primary camera, a 10 MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 13 MP ultra-wide camera, while there is a 13MP front camera for selfies. With the Motorola Edge 50, you also get Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and IP68 protection. The device is available in Jungle Green and Pantone Peach Fuzz colours with a vegan leather back and Koala Grey with a vegan suede black.

The Motorola Edge 50 also comes with Google AI features including Adaptive Stabilization, Smart colors optimization, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur and Magic Editor. The Motorola Edge 50 will go on sale on August 8 at 12 pm on Flipkart with an instant discount of Rs.2000 on Axis Bank credit card transactions. The 8GB/256 GB model will be available priced at Rs. 27,999.
