Nothing Phone 2a Receives New Features with September Security patch

The new September 2024 update for the Nothing Phone 2a brings a number of new features and bug fixes along with the September Patch. After updating the device, all formats will be better and smoother than before. This update will give the device more security and better privacy, which will also make multitasking and gaming easier.

Nothing Phone 2a September Update

A new News Reporter widget is added to the device, which can read daily news and selected stories aloud in Nothing Phone 2a. However, this feature is currently in beta and will rely on a new generative AI model. This battery and pedometer widget can be displayed on the lock screen and Always On Display. 

This date widget now supports automatic updates, and there will be slight changes in the settings as well. Additionally, it is necessary to pay attention to the notifications coming to enter the pop-up view, and new support has been added to delete the wallpaper history in Wallpepar Studio to Nothing Phone 2a. 

A new notification is added to the charging assistant to inform you about the charging status. There are also several improvements to its camera that increase clarity for 2x zoom in portrait mode. It has optimized compatibility issues with specific chargers. 

Nothing Phone 2a’s new patch also updates Google Mobile Services to fix all previous issues and improve audio delays for specific call scenarios. It also improves the stability of Bluetooth connectivity, ensuring that the Bluetooth tile reflects the correct earbud information. It also enabled vibration in power-saving mode. 

It also updates the September security patch and can fix a variety of issues, including auto-rotation not working for some cloned apps and the media player widget not playing music when switching from guest to main user. 

The update policy fixes screen flickering when pressing the power button for a long time during low battery levels, incorrect display of the atmosphere wallpaper effect on the lock screen, and system crashes caused by window animations. An improved launcher is added to the battery device for system stability in Nothing Phone 2a.

How to Update

To get this new update to Nothing Phone 2a, Open Settings < tap on About < Check for Updates < Click on Update and Install. After installing, the device gets some upgrades in all formats.
