A week ago, Samsung started rolling out the August 2023 security patch, starting with Galaxy S20FE smartphone users. A few days back, the Korean tech giant published its August 2023 security bulletin.

This month’s release fixes 2 “Critical” security issues, 48 security flaws rated “High”, 1 with a “Moderate” CVE rating, and ships with 5 security fixes that were included in previous monthly patches and 4 security enhancements that do not apply to Samsung devices.

In addition to the Google patch, the August 2023 security patch 35 addresses SVE (Samsung Vulnerability Items), which improves our customer’s confidence in the security of Samsung Mobile devices.

Soon after the initial rollout of the Galaxy S20 series, the South Korean tech giant will gradually release the August 2023 security update for other eligible Samsung devices. The new update fixes various vulnerabilities and bugs to enhance stability, security, and performance.

Some reports suggest that Samsung has started internally testing the One UI 6.0 beta. The company will soon start the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta program for Galaxy devices. On the other hand, Google is gearing up to release the stable Android 14 update, which could arrive later this month.
