Is Google Pixel 8a Waterproof? 

Google Pixel 8a was launched on 07 May, and we learned about many of its specifications, one of which is its IP rating. This rating highlights the device’s water and dust resistance. These ratings are viewed as two different approaches to water and dust resistance. The first number is given for dust resistance, while the second number is given for water resistance.

Their last model also had an IP68 rating, which indicates the best device in this era. Nowadays, all high-range devices have this rating to enhance their features, as it completely protects the phone from water damage. 

If we talk about the Google Pixel 8a, it comes with an IP67 rating, like the Google Pixel 7a. This means that it offers a high level of water resistance and can withstand accidental drops into water and rain drops. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 8a comes with Corning Gorilla Glass to protect the phone from scratches. 

In this IP rating, the number “7” ensures protection against water, while the number “6” provides protection against dust and other fine solids. However, it does not guarantee protection from particles screeching the outer surface. That is, we can assume this device is better waterproof and dustproof.
