Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC Unveiled with AI Capabilities

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. This latest mobile processor can deliver on-device generative artificial intelligence, multi-model AI, dedicated NPU, second-generation Orion CPU and advanced AI ISP to the device.
Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC Officially Unveiled
According to these specifications, the Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers higher performance than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC will be seen in devices from Asus, Honor, iQOO, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Samsung, Vivo, and Xiaomi in the coming weeks. According to Qualcomm, this new chipset model number is SM8750-AB, and it is better than the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
This Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is built on a 64-bit Architecture based on a 3-nanometer fabrication process and has an Orion CPU with eight cores clocked at 4.32 GHz. Its single- and multicore performance has improved by 45%, while web browsing has improved by 62%. The chipset will support LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for the device.
This Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset also uses Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite to enable 3D environments in gaming. The Adreno GPU and Qualcomm AI Engine in it can achieve 40% better gaming performance and 35% better ray-tracing capability. This chipset supports generative AI, which can provide better voice, text, image, and live-view prompts.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is 27% more power efficient and features the FastConnect 7900 system, which supports 6GHz, 5GHz, and 2.4GHz spectral bands, Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 7. This latest chip also features the Snapdragon X80 5G modem-RF system. The smartphones are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which will support up to 128 GB of Memory.
