YouTube Music Gets the Custom Thumbnail for the Playlist
YouTube has introduced a new feature that allows users to upload custom thumbnails for their playlists. This update brings a new level of user-generated content and personalization to the platform, allowing users to curate the music in their playlist and create a visual representation of the playlist.
YouTube Music Custom Thumbnail for Playlist
This new feature allows users to customize playlist thumbnails with user-generated content and personalization. Earlier, YouTube Music allowed users to generate AI art for playlist thumbnails, and now it also allows users to upload their own custom images.
However, YouTube announced several new features last week, including improvements to playlists. This feature will be rolled out widely soon. To take advantage of it, users need to visit music.youtube.com, open a playlist, and tap on the pencil icon on the artwork.
After selecting an image, it provides users with a sample crop tool to easily crop the image to fit. By tapping the pencil again, the user can tap “Remove custom image” to return to the default 2×2 grid. This new feature can only be used by web players. However, it will not appear in the mobile app.
Earlier, it allowed users to choose an image from their PC and then crop the Thumbnail, but this playlist page used to update after a second. Efforts are being made to bring the ability to personalize the YouTube Music library. The default playlist shows a 2×2 grid of albums, which is not very recognizable. This feature can soon be seen widely across all devices.
