YouTube is working on redesigned playback speed for Android and iOS
YouTube has recently released several new features, including a new mini player and improvements to the settings. Now, YouTube is going to introduce a new redesign Playback speed controls for Android and iOS devices. These speed controls were used to save user’s time.
YouTube redesigned playback speed
Earlier, a long sheet of playback speed increments used to open up, which took up half the screen and there were options like 0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x, normal, 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x and 2x. Now, the brand is working on changing this design. Users can now control this speed through the new UI as well.
9to5google reported, this will be a very small UI at the bottom of the display, the bottom row of which will show you a pill-shaped container. After the update, it may have five options, which will include 0.25, 1.0 (normal), 1.25, 1.5 and 2.0. Another feature is a slider that you can adjust in .5 increments by dragging or using the plus and minus buttons.
Users will soon be able to see this feature on YouTube version 19.43 for Android and 19.44 for iOS. The brand is expected to bring more features to the app soon that will help enhance the user experience.
