Google Messages Brings ‘Send Photos Faster’ Feature
Google continues to release new updates to Messages that bring a lot of new and unique features, one of which is the ‘Send photos faster’ resolution option. According to the report, some users are seeing a new option in Google Messages settings to speed up the sending of photos.
According to the description note of the ‘Send Photos Faster‘ option in Google Messages, ‘Resolution is reduced for faster sending’ is written. Until now, if you sent and received photos or videos, they were in very high resolution via MMS, but Google Messages is now testing a “send photos faster” setting. This would mean that, like other messaging apps, Google Messages will reduce the image quality on RCS in order to send them faster.
For your information, let us know that this new feature is yet to be widely available to everyone, so it may take some time to cover all eligible units. However, this new Google Messages option could be beneficial if you’re on a limited mobile plan and using cellular data to send pictures. This is great because RCS works by uploading images to the cloud like the first backup service.
On the other hand, the US tech giant has not shared any details on the maximum size of attachments that can be sent via Google Messages RCS. However, AT&T and T-Mobile list the maximum limit as 100MB.
How to enable or disable it? For that, open the Settings app on your Google Messages app, then here you see the ‘Send Photos Faster’ option between the Bubbles and Hear Outgoing And Incoming Message Sounds options.
