Samsung Galaxy S23 & Older Devices Received One UI July 2023 Update
On July 6th, Samsung published the July 2023 security bulletin for Galaxy devices, which revealed CVE and SVE items for better security. This update fixes nearly 100 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. Unlike last month, Samsung is rolling out security updates quite quickly this month, and Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S23 series is the first to get this status. The company will continue to expand this update to more devices this month.
According to the Smsuing’s security bulletin, the July 2023 security patch fixes 90 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets, which includes 52 that have been provided by Google, while Samsung has developed 38 (SVEs) fixes.
Of these 52 Google fixes, 3 have been mentioned as critical, while the rest of the 49 have high levels of CVEs for the Android operating system. Notably, company developers had already spotted and fixed 3 CVEs through previous updates, while 1 only applies to Galaxy devices.
Since the One UI security update rollout is gradual, availability may vary by region and device. Going forward, this update boosts the overall performance of your device. It also fixes some system bugs and issues and optimizes the operation of some third-party applications.
Galaxy devices will notify you about the new software update as soon as it grabs. Meanwhile, you can check for the patch manually by going to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and Install.
