WhatsApp is focussing on lengthening the privacy facilities for the users, and keeping this in mind, it is rolling out a new update. With its latest update, the brand provides a new feature for protecting the IP address in calls. The update is available on the Google Play Beta Program.

The update is rolling out with its new unique version number, 2.23.18.15. For now, the update is only available for some of the lucky beta testers, and it will soon be available in a future update of the app to all.

What’s New With v2.23.18.15

WhatsApp, with its new update announcing a new privacy feature to calls. This gives users a new option to easily and quickly mute call tabs and user notifications. With this recent change, the brand provides users with a better privacy and security experience. With its latest update, WhatsApp adds a new feature within the privacy call settings screen.

This new option for calls works like a privacy make-known feature, which makes it harder for others in the ring to enter the user’s location through securely relaying by WhatsApp servers. Despite that, WhatsApp servers will securely relay the user’s connection during an ongoing call, and the quality might be overworked to a certain extent when this privacy option is enabled.

The brand behind this new calling privacy strategy aims to provide an extra coating of protection against any unnecessary and illegal attempt to track the user’s physical location based on call data by just implementing this feature. The protected IP address feature will surely enhance the users calling performance and offer them a well-secured experience.

Moreover, the update is in its developing stage, and it will be available soon in future app updates. Interested users can enroll for the beta tester’s selection.
