Google Meet is a unit of Google Workspace; it is a high-quality video-calling application. This application helps to connect in whatever way works for the users – call someone, schedule time together, and more. Now, it is getting a new update. 

With this update, it is getting a new feature by which the users can raise their hands with gesture detection in Google Meet. 

Before this update within the Google Meet app while video conferencing, whenever the user needed to ask a question, they had to click on the hand-raise icon. 

But now, with this latest update, the users no longer have to touch the hand-raise icon. To ask a question during video conferencing, the users only have to raise their hand in Google Meet is done by clicking the hand raise icon. 

The rapid-release domains of the update details are mentioned below; 

  • Full rollout (1-3 days for feature visibility) starting on November 21, 2023. 
  • The gradual rollout (up to 15 days for feature visibility) starts on November 28, 2023. 

The availability of the update is for Google Workspace Business Plus, Business Standard, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Starter, Education Plus, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade customers, and Google Workspace Individual subscribers.
