Google Message Noise Cancellation Feature Rollout Widely
Google is rolling out the noise cancellation feature of the Google Messages Voice recorder for all users. After a long period of testing, it was made available to some beta testers. Earlier, Google Message introduced the Voice Memos feature for the Wear OS app. However, this new feature has also become available to everyone after testing.
On the other hand, in the noise cancellation feature of Google Messages’ voice recorder, after launching the new pane UI and tapping record, you also see a separate tab called “turn noise cancellation on/off” at the bottom of the waveform window. There is also an option to turn it off for the current recording; this noise cancellation will automatically turn back on for your next session. This feature is enabled by default when using the long-press shortcut/activation method.
Google Message Noise Cancellation Feature
This feature is available to all users, including Google Pixel and Samsung, but users who have received the voice redesign have not received the new noise cancellation capability. This feature will be available only through the latest beta version, 20240523_04_RC00. However this feature is available on all devices, but it is not confirmed whether it will work smoothly.
According to Google, “the overall audio quality of voice messages has been improved by increasing the bitrate and sampling rate.” However, on deeper investigation, it was found that not all users are able to see the voice mood yet.
Google Voice Memo Update
After a long time of testing, Google Messages has finally introduced the Voice Memo feature for the WearOS application. Google Messages lets users send and listen to voice memos directly from their wrist. Now, users can open a conversation and top on the microphone icon, emoji, and keyboard input to send reactions. With this, users are getting more new features on WearOS and pixel devices.
