Google Updated Phone app With a new Transparent Status Bar
Google has always thrived on making its apps and services offer several edge-to-edge features and functionalities, and this even goes for its Phone app. The Phone app by Google has been updated. Until now, the app consists of a black status bar at the top of the screen, but it will now be replaced with a transparent bar while on a call to seamlessly complement the white screen.
Phone app by Google is getting a new transparent status bar during a call
Several users on Reddit have shared that on their Phone app Google with the latest version 128, they have started receiving the transparent status bar, which is a small but very nice improvement for the Google Phone app. This means that the users will now see a nice transparent status bar while on a call. Currently, there’s a black color status bar at the top, depending on your phone’s dynamic color theme, which does not merge well with the utterly white screen of the Phone app.
Now, with the transparent status bar during a call, Google’s phone app looks much more pleasing as it thoroughly mixes well with the white call background of the phone app. In contrast, this new update came just after Google started rolling out the latest Audio Emoji feature for its Phone app.
In addition, at its I/O 2024 conference, Google significantly encouraged developers to offer some edge-to-edge features on Android 15 smartphones while ensuring everything goes smoothly and compatible. This will be cited to provide users with some edge-to-edge screens, as this will be more satisfying and give a premium experience.
