Telegram update brings new Message Effects, Hashtag Search, and More

With this update, you can get Message Effects, Hashtag Search, etc., on Telegram. This allows you to add cool animated effects to your message flow, move any caption above the media and quickly find any public post using global hashtags. Additionally, you can hide portions of text with collapsible quote blocks.

Message Effects

Messages in Chat can now be sent with animated effects that come alive when the recipient opens the Chat. There is an animation for almost every emoji, making it easier to express your emotions. 

At the same time, everyone uses only six free effects, while Telegram Premium has hundreds more animations, including all the effects of premium stickers. To add any impact to it, you have to press and hold the send arrow, and after that, you can choose the emotion that matches your message. 

Captions Above Media

This feature lets you move any caption above the media so your posts and memes can find their place for punchlines. First, select the media in your attachment menu and then type the caption in the input field. After this, press and hold the send arrow and select ‘“Move Caption Up” to change the positions. 

Quick Actions For Phone Numbers

Like WhatsApp, tapping a phone number in a chat opens a new menu where you can use the option to send a message, start a call or add the number as a contact with just one more tap. This feature has been redesigned. 

Hashtag Search

This feature was created in 2015 to help users find essential messages or quotes in chats. You can also use hashtags to search for many things, and these hashtags have grown globally. Additionally, when you tab on a hashtag in the Chat, search results from many public channels appear, allowing you to scroll through breaking news, other viral content, or travel-related videos from the channels. 

Collapsible Quotes

Nowadays, users prefer to read small texts instead of large ones, saving time. You can also compact your message by hiding text fragments inside this collapsible quote block. You can add only quote formatting, for which you can tap the collapse button in the input field. The reader can read the quote by enlarging it or scrolling very little to skip it. 

Colorful Calls On macOS

Apart from this, some changes have also been made on Android and iOS. Dynamic backgrounds and stylish animations have been added to voice and voice calls. This interface update has been made available to users of native macOS apps, which can make desktop calls even more beautiful while using fewer resources than before.
