WhatsApp is indeed among the most popular instant messaging applications, with the video and audio calling capabilities. The app constantly receives several amazing upgrades that significantly provides intuitive experience to the users. Now, WhatsApp is all set to upgrade its video calling capabilities, as Meta has officially announced some new features for better calling experience across desktop and mobile.

Screen sharing now with audio:

With the aim to make the calling experience even better and interactive across devices, WhatsApp has announced several updates for the users. Considering that, to begin with, the first addition is the screen sharing with audio, allowing users to now share their screen with audio as well. This ability is perfectly suitable for watching videos together while sharing the screen.

Now add more participants on a video call:

Another feature is about increasing the number of participants during a video call. WhatsApp is now increasing the number of participants, which means that during a video call across all your devices, you can now add up to 32 people. This expansion significantly provides more convenience while having an important video conference.

The speaker spotlight:

Finally, with the speaker spotlight feature, while on a video call, the person who is talking gets automatically highlighted with the speaker and appears first on the screen, thus making it easier to recognize who is exactly speaking among all the other people.

Moreover, WhatsApp further launched a new MLow codec, which significantly improves the call reliability by an improved noise and echo cancellation, thus making it super easier to make or attend calls in noisy environments, while the video calls will now be made with higher resolution along with faster and smooth connections as well.
