WhatsApp Rolling out a New Feature for Beta Testers
WhatsApp has released the beta 2.24.21.31 update for Android devices, and the feature will soon be available on WhatsApp Web. The feature will also allow users to verify the authenticity of images through the app. WhatsApp may be testing this feature as a beta and may also provide a new option to search images in conversations on the web.
WhatsApp Search Shared Images on web
This new update, which allows users to search images on the web, has been revealed by some beta testers. The feature can also be located in the image overflow menu, making it easily accessible directly within the app. Users will get the “Search on Web” option by tapping on the three-dot menu, which can also start a reverse image search.
The feature provides a new layer of security and privacy by allowing users to get more information about images. WhatsApp also gives users more control and transparency over the content shared in their conversations. Apart from searching for an image on the web, this update can also prevent the spread of misinformation.
The new feature of searching images on the web is optional, and it is available for some beta testers. In the coming weeks, it will be available to all users. It can also be seen on iOS and Web WhatsApp.
