Telegram has released an exciting update that includes several powerful enhancements that make the platform even stronger. The Telegram focuses on improving the functionality of video players, timings, speed, quality, etc. Here are some new highlights, which are given below:

Faster video loading and quality

The video player for newly uploaded videos on some larger channels now also has the option to select the connection quality level for saving and loading data. Users can also choose the quality between high, medium, and low.

Also, switching to picture-to-picture mode on iOS has been made easier. Users only need to swipe up to continue watching it while browsing their chats and swiping down also stops the video. Users will need to tap on the gear icon in the video player to adjust this.

Users will not need to preprocess videos to watch in high resolution. Telegram will now optimize all uploaded videos and also compress them in multiple qualities. However, even users with weak connections will get compressed videos, while those with low internet access can also enjoy them. This new video quality feature will be available to all subscribed channels.

Playback Speed

Users on Telegram can now adjust their video speed through the settings, and users can also increase the speed of the video seamlessly with a new gesture without having to tap on the settings. This will require users to press and hold on the right side to increase the speed by 2x while slowly sliding to the right to increase the speed by 2.5x.

On the other hand, users need to release their finger to return to the normal speed. On Android, users can double tap on the left or right side of the video to skip 10 seconds, which works just like YouTube.

Add Media to Send Message

If users forget to attach a photo, video, or file, they can also quickly edit the message to add media with just two taps and resume to remove it. Users can also go back to edit the media to re-edit the photo or replace the media in the message.

Last edited messages

Edited messages will now show a timestamp to confirm when they were last edited. If a message has been edited more than once, the time of the last edit will be shown. This new feature will also bring detailed read receipts to small groups and private chat messages that show the time each member opened your message.

Improved chat hashtags

Group and channel owners can use the new format of hashtags and usernames for hashtags, which will now give users a higher status. Typing a hashtag in the message bar of a public chat on a device will now show a special menu that allows you to add the chat user’s name to the hashtag with just one tap.

Advertisement feature in Bots

Users will now be able to participate in revenue sharing from Telegram ads in bots and mini apps, giving users another way to help the service grow. Telegram ad privacy also offers improved privacy.

Message Limits in Bots

Telegram allows all its users to send 30 messages per second to users in bots. To better accommodate this large scale, bots are now able to enable increased message limits and send up to 1000 messages per second. Sending messages on them costs just 0.1 stars per message, which can be paid through the bot’s balance.

Precise Reactions

In this, users can react to any post with a heart, star, or pumpkin, like Instagram. Many other new features can also be added to it in the coming time.
