WhatsApp is rolling out another new update via the beta program soon, bringing some new features for Android 2.24.9.20. In this new feature of WhatsApp, the community is introducing an event feature for group chats, and the community members can create and manage activities directly in their group chats.

This feature will improve online meetings or social gatherings and events. Earlier, this feature was limited to communities only but now the brand is considering developing this feature to regular group chats to improve collaboration and coordination as well. WhatsApp is rolling out this feature widely for group chats. 

With this feature, users can input any name, description, date, alternate location, and event description and specify whether it requires a voice or video call. These details can be sent to the members of any group chat by sending this event invitation and it also can update the event details as needed. 

In this, the brand has taken special care of the privacy of the group members. Apart from this, there are signs of improving the user experience in group chats which include features like setting event reminders and cover photos. These are aimed at strengthening event management and promoting visual identity within group chats to give users more flexibility and clarity while organizing or participating in activities. 

This feature is available to some users who can install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store beta. However, in the coming days, it would be available to all users.
