Google is trying to make Messages a brand social app by adding new attractive features and animations. The brand also rolled out this feature earlier, but it was discounted for some reason.

However, it was again seen rolling out as a test for some users last year. Now, Google Messages
is bringing back the full-screen effect for Android devices.

This new effect will be rolled out after the widespread rollout of the On/OFF setting of Show expressive animation. When you send or receive certain phrases in SMS and RCS conversations, the screen effect appears on the Google Messages app for a few seconds.

This expressive feature now works with more triggers and has been included in a stable version, 20240621_00_RC00, and can also be seen in the beta channel.

Users can now turn off its screen effects, reaction effects and animated emojis. Google originally promised to give 15+ hidden screen effect hints. Some of its new features are given below –

  • BOO – Tomato, which requires at least three O’s.
  • Congratulations – balloons and Confetti.
  • Going to the beach – Waves + various objects.
  • Hahahaha- tube man, Requires four Ha’s.
  • Rise and Shine – The Sun is quite attractive.
