YouTube is testing a sleep timer only with premium subscriber

YouTube is testing a new sleep timer for its premium subscribers on mobile apps and desktops that can pause playback after a certain time. This sleep timer will prevent users from using the app late at night and will prevent other users from facing problems.

YouTube Tests Sleep Timer for Premium Users

The brand is testing the latest feature with its premium subscribers first, after which this feature of YouTube can be seen by other users as well. It may take until September 2 for this feature to be available, but it will be available only for premium subscribers. After premium subscribers, it can be seen on desktop, but TV is not a part yet.

According to YouTube, “Sleep Timer lets you set a timer that automatically pauses playback after a certain time.”

The feature appears as a playback menu on the desktop and supports timers of 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes. Additionally, the ability to pause at the end of the video may soon be offered. Similar features may also be implemented on the mobile app.

Notably, the YouTube Premium subscription monthly plan in India starts at Rs. 129 per month, but a one-month subscription costs Rs.139. At the same time, the annual subscription of the platform costs Rs.1290, and you can also avail of many other features in it, which you will also get this sleep timer feature later.
